As a new purchaser of an electric vehicle, you are entitled to a subsidy of up to EUR 8,000 subject to the following minimum conditions[1]:
- the car must be 100% electric;
- the subsidy is intended for natural persons or legal persons established under private law;
- the subsidy is granted to the owner of the car;
- I am a Luxembourg resident (or non-resident but in connection with a leasing contract where I am the owner of the vehicle);
- the purchase contract is signed no later than 31 March 2022;
- the entry into service must be between 1 January 2019 and 31 December 2022.

The Luxembourg government has introduced subsidies for the installation of private charging stations for plug-in electric or hybrid vehicles.
What is the amount of this subsidy?
The subsidy for the installation of a private charging station can go up to:
- EUR 1,200 for one smart charging station for a building with a maximum of three parking places (a single-family house).
- EUR 1,650 for one charging station which is part of a collective smart charge management system for a building with four or more parking places (a multi-family house).
What are the conditions for obtaining this subsidy?
This subsidy may be obtained subject to the following minimum conditions[3]:
• I am an individual
• I own or rent the parking space
• The installed charging station is new
• It was purchased before 30 June 2023
The Enovos Foundation also offers the "Nova Naturstroum 2021 funds" which provide a "mobility" premium for the construction of mode 3 and/or mode 4 charging stations. This financial aid can go up to 2,000 EUR per station. Please note, however, that the premiums are granted within the limits of the available funds.
