Newsroom ANESEC and ANELD students on a discovery tour at Baloise
July 5, 2019. Thursday, July 4th was quite an original day for about 30 Luxemburgish students; indeed, they were invited to spend the afternoon in a relaxed atmosphere at Baloise, and to discover the insurance industry and its careers opportunities.urance.

Named Baloise Students Dating, this event was organized in close cooperation with Association Nationale des Etudiants en Sciences Economiques (ANESEC) and Association Nationale des Etudiants Luxembourgeois en Droit (ANELD), both of whom represent a few hundred Luxemburgish students scattered all around Europe, for their law or business studies.

The attendees were welcomed by an informal introduction speech from Romain Braas, Administrateur-Directeur Général de Bâloise Luxembourg. Using his own experience of a young student who became an executive and a CEO in the insurance sector, he highlighted the fact that insurances are a much more attractive vertical that it might seem, because it’s a human-centric business, experiencing a lots of technological and regulatory challenges and full of learning possibilities.

The students were then invited to exchange with 20 Baloise staff, around topics such as the Baloise values, what is it like to work at Baloise, Brexit, GDPR and other current issues that impact the industry.

As young adults considering their future first move into a professional career path, it was highly insightful for them to be able to make their own impression of a business and a company, directly from the source, in order to take an informed decision for their next internship or job.

The event was concluded in a relaxed way, with a nice afterwork made of drinks and barbecue directly at the headquarter garden.
Baloise wants to thank all participants and would like to express its special thanks to ANESED and ANELD members and presidents who made this event a success.
