May 25, 2020. Being that our post-COVID 19 world must draw on all forms of intelligence, irrespective of wealth or financial means, Bâloise and the University of Luxembourg announce their roll-out of allowances specifically for students of this Bachelor’s degree.

As a historic partner of the University of Luxembourg, the Bâloise Assurances Group in Luxembourg has always endorsed its Bachelor’s in Applied Management as well as its Master’s in Computer Science for which an agreement was signed to facilitate educational exchanges and recruitment opportunities for students in this Computer Science programme. Bâloise is also very active on the Belval campus where it opened a brand-new agency for students and professionals who live or work in this rapidly expanding area and also routinely participates in their Welcome Day.

Like the whole planet, the University of Luxembourg and Bâloise are confronted with this sanitary crisis and have decided to join forces and pitch in to make the world-after a little better and offer better chances to the most deserving students, without any discriminations regarding their income or social background.

This partnership is like a reward system offered by the Bâloise Group in Luxembourg for up to 5 students enrolled in their 1st, 2nd or 3rd year of the Bachelor’s in Applied Management programme at the University of Luxembourg. It is intended for deserving students with high potential who will receive an allowance of 300 euros a month for the duration of their studies and this, up to 30 months. During the semester set for their internship, and since academic training makes even more sense when confronted with reality, this award also proposes students to undertake an internship within the Bâloise Group in Luxembourg.

As Laurence Fransen, the HRD of the Bâloise Group in Luxembourg explains, “For many years now we’ve been hiring students after they get their Bachelor’s in Applied Management from the University of Luxembourg. This training perfectly matches the profiles we’re after to start a career in the insurance business. The obligatory internship of these students is a major professional experience and adds real added value to their bachelor’s degree. And for that matter, we’ve actually hired many of these graduates after they did internships in our Group.

Check out all the Bâloise engagements concerning the student world, from our consistent presence at student forums to our special partnerships with the ACEL (Association of Luxembourg Student Circles), the ANESEC (National Association of Students in Business and Economic) and ANELD (National Association of Students Studying Law in Luxembourg) as well as our regular attendance at the REEs (Company-Student Networking Gatherings).
