The format and content of the black and white insurance certificates will be identical to those of the current "green insurance card". Apart from the colour of the paper, the only change will be to the back of the certificate (listing the contact points abroad in the event of an accident), which may be removed and left blank.

Insurance companies insuring vehicles registered in Luxembourg are authorised to issue certificates on white paper from the 1st November 2020.

Certificates issued on green paper and still effective after 1st January 2021 will remain valid until their expiry date
